On Ivy Farm Overstrand Surrounding Areas Links

Surrounding Areas and Activities

Coach trips to Sandringham to see the Royals walking across the park can be arranged on Boxing Day, or a trip to Thursford Organs carol Service. Christmas Shows and Norwich Pantomime are a must at this seasonal time of year.

If you are a golf enthusiast why not get together and arrange a golfing weekend. We are just minutes from the Royal Cromer Golf Links and there are many more courses in the area. Perhaps angling is your hobby; with the sea on your doorstep and several freshwater lakes just a short drive away this can be an angler's paradise.

Horse riding is close by also, and there are many Christmas Fayres and Concerts in the villages around , alternatively there is the Splash Leisure Pool at Sheringham where you might like to spend an hour swimming.

Cromer

Cromer, gem of the Norfolk Coast is just two miles away with its quaint shops, lifeboat museum and locally caught sea food. The last authentic "End of the Pier" show is always a main attraction as is the Cromer Carnival in all its splendour.

Norfolk Broads

The famous Norfolk Broads are a twenty minute drive away, where you can spend a lazy day on the river, in a hire boat, or just relax and watch the abundance of wild life.

Norwich

Half an hour's drive away you will find the City of Norwich, which boasts some of the finest architecture of any city in England, with its beautiful cathedral and museums.

Great Yarmouth

You may enjoy a day out in Great Yarmouth, a much larger resort, which boasts one of the biggest Pleasure beaches in the country as well as the shows with some of the top comedy and variety acts from around the United Kingdom.

Stately Homes & National Trust

North Norfolk has many stately homes to visit and National Trust land, none more famous than the Royal Estate of Sandringham; an expansive area of beautiful gardens and woodland retreat of H.M. The Queen. Sandringham is an hours drive away and you may like to combine this visit with a look at Hunstanton, a pretty little sea-side town which is close-by to Sandringham.
